From the preliminary discussion of resistors in The Art of Electronics, Second Edition, by Paul Horowitz and Winfield Hill. Jamie checked out this book from the University of Vermont library for me. I’ve been learning how to work with an Arduino recently and clearly need a refresher on electronics. I think my path as an experimental physicist would have ended much more successfully (or still be ongoing) had I gone to Horowitz and Hill for my extracurricular reading instead of Landau and Lifshitz.
